Omicron currently distribute Distek Tablet Dissolution Equipment, DissoPrep Media Preparation instruments and are an Agilent added value reseller for UV/VIS Spectroscopy systems, as well as being the UK distributor for CAMAG's Thin Layer Chromatography sample preparation instruments, TLC scanners, and TLC quantitation instruments. This product range is complemented by the Machery Nagel range of chromatography media, columns and TLC plates.
Omicron has an external sales force, which regularly visits all our customers. Our personnel are fully trained and certificated by our suppliers to provide repair, maintenance services, and IQ/OQ qualification.
1992
Omicron Research Ltd was originally formed as a market research consultancy and successfully traded
for its first three years providing statistical and marketing
services to the primary health care and scientific equipment
business sectors.
1996
Saw a change of direction as we acquired sole UK dealership rights for the DISTEK
range of tablet dissolution test equipment, used exclusively within
the pharmaceutical industry.
1998
We became an Agilent Technologies
Value Added Reseller for their UV-Visible Spectroscopy product
range.
2000
An expanding Omicron added the
DissoPrep line of Media Preparation instrumentation to its
portfolio. By now the company had gained substantial expertise
in supplying, maintaining and calibrating tablet dissolution
test equipment across a very wide customer base, which included
many of the largest UK pharmaceutical manufacturers and research
centres.
2001
Omicron broadened its market
perspective by adding the UK dealership for CAMAG
HP-TLC instrumentation with the intention that this world market leading product
line would offer further growth potential for the business
and expand the business into new industries.
2003
Omicron once again increased
its product offering to its core customers by adding a hardness
tester suitable for applications in the pharmaceutical and
toiletries industries.
2004
Omicron became the authorised
UK distributor for Machery & Nagel Chromatography products.
At the end of the 2004 company business year Omicron was still
growing with 20% being support related revenue, providing
a strong financial base for the company.
Omicron’s excellent performance since its inception
has been based on its core business value of supplying and
supporting top quality products to its principal market, backed
up by top quality, experienced personnel providing personal
service values to customers.
